Dylan T Graham at work with his works
Two of my artworks were exhibited as part of the Found Collective exhibition hosted April 23rd at the Prinses Church building in Pretoria CBD.

The RETALIATION TO FIXATION is a work that deal directly with trauma, as a response by the artist to a voilent event that happened to her earlier in the year. The work represents the framework of my thinking relating to how humans deal with trauma - and the notion that all desctruction is in itself a form of creation.

The ONE-EYED PUG is a piece that represents the more dream state world of the artist - literally having dreamed about an angry little one eyed pug and wanting to carry it over from the subconscious into the conscious.

The spectrum of my work is often this - ranging from the dreamy light hearted-idealisitic outlook of the world in response to the reality that is darker and violent and out of my own control - i seek to establish control over my environment only with art - and its abstraction of meaning that allows only for the emotion to be broadcast - and felt.

The photographs are taken during the set up and not the event itself.

The initiative is an exciting venture for the future of art in Pretoria.
